Maia was baptized this last weekend. It was very special for us as we made the commitment with family and friends to raise Maia in the ways of Jesus and were reminded of God’s grace to her before she even has the chance to know or do anything.

Maia loves Greg…and that bowl of water.

The fam came up. Here we all are at taking over the front pews. Plus our friends Mike and Bernadine had their baby Grace baptized too. There were also two adults baptized with amazing stories. It was a tender service.

We went to San Francisco last Saturday for an Agros training (we’re all going to Honduras end of October!) and tacked a Giants game onto the evening. Suzie came to watch Maia during the training, so of course my parents met us there. And we brought Tara and her Dominican fiancee, Braulio. Just so happened the Giants were honoring Orlando Cepeda with a statue and the whole theme of the night was basically a fiesta latina. The Dominican president (since Cepeda is Dominican too) even broadcast a congratulatory address. Maia did pretty well, and proudly sported her Lou Seal onesie and Giants blankie, courtesy of Lois MacGibbon.

She made a nice pool of spit-up a few times between our chests in the Moby wrap. See wetness above. We had to run for the napkins by the garlic fries!

Oh yeah, and the Giants pulled out a nice win against the Pirates! ¡Maia es la buena suerte!

Life is good. Maia is loved by lots of people!
Here are my students from Colusa visiting before going off to college, Katie and Joanna.

Jessica, Michael, and their new little girl, Elisabeth, stopped by on their way down from Oregon, too. So sweet!

Going back to work part time, I’ve been a bit stressed and afraid I’m not producing enough milk (although doubtful, she’s quite a chub still–mostly in my head). So to ease my conscience, we started solids. Here’s Maia going for the rice cereal. Hmmm…think she seems ready? Interested?

One more shout out…Lindsay made a bunch of cool onesies for Maia. Here she is at “happy time,” her best mood in the morning.
